Nature Is Art

The first sculptural work featuring a branch from a boxwood plant, commonly used in Florentine Italian gardens; this particular one comes from the Corsi garden, in Via Romana - near the Boboli Gardens, dates back to around 1800, and unfortunately recently dried out. The artist recovers some branches and paints them, as in this case with contrasting colors, creates a base, and encloses the whole thing inside a plexiglass case to preserve the work itself from the passage of time. Nature, therefore, comes back to life even after its death, offering new perspectives from which the observer can view it.
