Extinguished Flame, second edition
According to the painter, the work aims to represent the dying out of a fire, of a flame; which slowly fades, loses intensity, becomes faint and "timid" in showing itself to those who observe it. It is created on canvas with a high-quality wooden support, measuring 150x100x3.5cm. Various paints of different compositions are used: synthetic enamels, water-based enamels, and acrylics; all colors are dropped using the dripping technique or dripped onto a very smooth and bright glossy paint bed. Similarly, once all layers are dry, the same suicidal paint is applied again to give a brilliant effect in stark contrast to the black base of the artwork.
